    In September 1996 the Henry Field Library, Christchurch College
    of Education, became the fi[...]king / multi-
    user network operating system.

    The Library first installed Dynix, running on a PICK-based Ul[...]cess that involved the examination of alternative library
    application software and various hardware platforms suitable for a
    mediu1n—sized tertiary library. After much evaluation, it was decided
    that Dynix[...]e best software to meet the needs of both College
    Library staff and users. In terms of hardware, a Digital[...]ystems to determine which best suited the
    College Library environment.

    Among the factors that led to the a[...]to Dynix New Zealand as it was to the Henry
    Field Library staff, a smooth migration process was experienced[...]post-relational
    database system that allows Dynix Library Automation software to
    run on open systems hardwa[...]ynix windows modules in the next year or so.
