What does it take to move across sectors of library work, or to shift from one area of information management to another? Are there particular skills and/or competencies that make it easier to do? What are the barriers?

Leading from any position

We would like to hear from librarians who are on a leadership journey, or from managers who are facilitating the path to leadership. What are the key elements that allow leaders to grow in any position within the organisation?

Innovative technology

Technology can be used to ‘spread the net’, so we want to hear from you if you have an innovative way of applying social media or using the cloud to broaden access to services or communicate with customers and stakeholders.

Partnerships between libraries and other agencies

There are some imaginative partnerships in Wellington libraries that we would like to hear about. What is the motivation for entering into a partnership agreement? What are the benefits and what are the drawbacks?
