In this issue, we learn about SWiL2022, the first international symposium on social work in libraries held last year. Gay Richards provides a synopsis of the event. Anna Lockwood from Auckland Council who presented at SWiL2022 looks at 'Lessons from the Central Hub - the Safe Spaces Pilot Project'.

Our library of the issue is Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō based in Levin. Shiobhan Smith shares her career profile, and we learn about Bernie Hawke’s public library career. Read about MBIE's new open research policy and Lee Rowe has reviewed an important IFLA publication on 'Navigating Copyright for Libraries'.
