Anne-Lise Harding, Senior Liaison Librarian, House of Commons, UK Parliament.

This session will review recent relevant policy developments in the UK, including the national Media Literacy Strategy, set out in mid-2021, and the draft Online Safety Bill. We will explain the rationale and purpose of the new Media and Information Literacy Alliance (MILA) and its work to date, including its draft media and information literacy framework. We will also consider the wider activities of CILIP’s Information Literacy Group (ILG) and the forthcoming LILAC – ILG’s first in-person conference since 2019.
